Carlos San Pedro understands wine from a twofold respect: the land and tradition. With the idea of going back to our roots, Carlos created Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza in 1998. It was about returning to fresher and more subtle wines with a good backbone, elegant wines with a balanced, pleasant mouth-feel. New traditional Rioja wines.

Valdepoleo is one of the most emblematic vineyards of Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza. The wine it produces is a clear example of the nature of the area. A vineyard divided into seven plots which are worked separately from the harvest to the end of cask ageing. Through blind tasting, Carlos San Pedro gives the blend a personal touch. A fresh, vibrant, very subtle wine in total harmony is the result.
